So, it looks like there will be no surgery today.... unfortunately, the PET scans came back positive this morning and the Doctor doesn't think it's a good idea to do surgery at this point.
We don't have any more information at this point - but will let everyone know as soon as the Docter calls back with the next steps in this saga.

Living with the uncertainty is one of the most difficult things about fighting cancer. All you want is for it to be gone. But you also want the best possible treatment you can get.
ReplyDeleteMake sure your doctors give you the unvarnished truth about all the options. Consider what they say, make the best decision you can, and launch into your future with no regrets.
There is a 'new normal' on the other side of treatment and recovery. You'll find out what that is for you when you get there as it is different for every one. Keep that day in mind, as the time between now and then will be full of challenges.
Hang in there, Jerry! I pray you will one day say as I can, that you've survived and are cancer free!
